My name is Maja. I am a social worker trained in journalism, storytelling, and various relational, nervous system–based and embodied practices. Throughout my adult life, I have been exploring ways of coming into a more intimate relationship with my own lived experience, to tap into a visceral, more strongly felt aliveness, and to deepen my connection to others, and the world around me.
I’m interested in the subtle conditions that allow real contact to emerge, such as deep listening, relational safety, embodied awareness, and the courage to stay present with what is alive in the moment. At the heart of my work is exploring how staying present with our own and each other’s experience shapes our capacity to feel connected and alive.
Being With is my platform for exploring human connection and the depth of lived experience, and for creating meaningful interactions with fellow human beings. It also serves as a vehicle for exploration, learning and expanding perspectives.
Through Being With, I seek to create spaces for intimacy, reflection, and authenticity — spaces where people can meet themselves and one another with honesty, emotional presence, and safety, and experience what it truly means to be human together.
